FilFolio™ (MS Windows only) extends the capabilities of Extensis Portfolio™ by adding the ability to extract the metadata from image files created by digital cameras and to store that data into the Portfolio™ catalog.

What's that mean? Well, any picture taken with most digital still cameras (digicams) results in the creation of a file containing not only the image itself, but also other information (metadata) about the conditions under which the picture was taken. Such conditions include: the date and time, the shutter speed, aperture, the image size (width and height in pixels), the metering mode, and so on.

What FilFolio™ allows you to do is to extract this metadata from your image files and put it into your Portfolio™ catalog so that you can then do sorting, searching and reporting using this additional data. This information also serves as a useful record of what went right/wrong with any particular image!
