After creating my new custom fields in Portfolio as instructed they then just seem to disappear. Why?

You've followed the instructions in
Changes you need to make to your Portfolio™ catalog
and added the custom fields you want, but then the fields just don't seem to be there in your catalog.
What you've done is to forget to close
FilFolio
before creating the custom fields. Trying creating the fields again after you've made sure
FilFolio
isn't running.
